Having qualified in Medicine in 1975, Rob has gained extensive experience as a GP in Scotland. His principal interests have been primary and secondary prevention of disease and the specialty of Lifestyle Medicine. As well as leading his NHS team to the highest awards for quality (2003-2013) he founded a charity in 1991 providing weekly activity and support in venues around East Lothian for sufferers of long term conditions including heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, stroke, lung disease and frailty.
Julie works as a GP in North East Scotland. She has a special interest in pre-hospital emergency care, being both a certified Instructor in this field and a pre-hospital emergency care responder. She has a few years experience also working as a Forensic Medical Examiner, only recently retiring from this role to allow opportunity to expand her interests in lifestyle medicine.
As a GP as well as yoga teacher and health coach Anna is very passionate about the facilitation of self-management and the de-medicalisation of chronic conditions such as back pain. Anna’s passion for Lifestyle Medicine led to her completing the Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine in 2018.
Alex is a GP, Lifestyle Medic and Sports Medic working in London. He qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2011 (Cor Blimey!). As a GP he works in Thornton Heath. He is working to increase activity and decrease sedentary behaviour in both practice staff and population.
