BSLM 2020 Virtual Conference

Our first ever online conference will be a truly global event and is an opportunity for those interested in lifestyle medicine to get the latest scientific evidence and thinking from a broad range of medical disciplines and schools of thought.

The virtual conference brings together an impressive line-up of experts in topics including exercise and physical activity, mental heath, diet and nutrition, sleep and much more.

We do hope you can join us between September 3-5 so you can provide real time feedback — and share your knowledge and experiences with each other. However, if you can’t make these dates all content will be made available after the event so you can access this at a time of your choosing.

The three-day conference’s main theme is ‘the art and science of healthy longevity’, with this year’s focus on three sub themes: environment and wellbeing, physical activity and health and eating.

If you had already booked a ticket for our planned London conference, which was cancelled due to COVID-19, this will automatically be exchanged for a virtual conference ticket and we will refund you the difference in price. Call for Abstracts

We are still inviting submissions for poster presentation abstracts that represent original, important or relevant science, research, clinical application (including service improvement or audit projects) or public health work providing evidence supporting lifestyle medicine in clinical practice.

The deadline for applications is June 26 2020. Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to present a poster. This year, posters will be displayed virtually due to our decision to switch to a virtual conference for 2020.

Lifestyle Medicine diplomate students

For those of you studying for the Lifestyle Medicine exam attending the BSLM2020 virtual conference will be an important part of your study – enabling you to clock up the 10 hours of in-person learning which is essential to completing the course.

IMPORTANT UPDATE Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the IBLM certification exam for 2020 will now be held virtually over the weekend of October 24-25. The exams we had planned to hold at Twickenham Stadium in London (June 26) and Edinburgh (October 24) have now been CANCELLED.
