What is S.M.A.R.T.?

This is an 8 week research proven programme which is based on decades of research by Dr Herbert Benson and others at the Harvard based Benson Henry Institute. Participants learn about stress mechanisms, and learn and practice stress recognition, as well as a variety of relaxation techniques, and over the 8 weeks, also learn how to integrate these new skills into everyday life. Dr. Miriam Maisel is one of the few non-US doctors who are certified to offer the Stress Management and Resiliency Training programme. Course Benefits

Stress management is one of the 6 pillars of Lifestyle Medicine and is crucial to our own health and wellbeing. In addition, many medical conditions are exacerbated by stress, and those of us who treat patients will learn some news skills with which we can help our patients.

Course Details

The next course will start on October 6 for 8 consecutive Wednesday evenings, (see flier) and a further course will start on Weds 1 December, and run through the end of January with a break for Christmas.
