About Angharad Kate Woolley

Dr Angharad Kate Woolley joined BSLM in 2022 as the Learning Academy Director. She qualified as a GP in 2019 and works in a medium sized practice on the outskirts of Nottingham.

She teaches at the University of Leicester, on the subject of lifestyle medicine and previously worked with Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub, on their social prescribing educational community of practice, for link workers across the county.

She is also active in research, and has recently completed a NIHR In-Practice Fellowship at the Leicester Diabetes Centre. Her research is in the area of patient education to facilitate lifestyle change in cardio metabolic disease.

In addition to her passion for Lifestyle Medicine, she has a strong interest in global health, having worked and volunteered in a number of countries and spent 3 years on the RCGP Junior International Committee. She is passionate about reducing the influence of socioeconomic deprivation on a person’s ability to follow a healthy lifestyle.
