I qualified as a GP in 2019 and work in a medium sized practice on the outskirts of Nottingham. I teach at the University of Leicester, on the subject of lifestyle medicine and work with Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub, on their social prescribing educational community of practice, for link workers across the county. I am also active in research and am currently completing an NIHR In-Practice Fellowship at the Leicester Diabetes Centre. My research is in the area of patient education to facilitate lifestyle change in cardio metabolic disease. In addition to my passion for lifestyle medicine, have a strong interest in global health, having worked and volunteered in a number of countries and spent 3 years on the RCGP Junior International Committee. I am passionate about reducing the influence of socioeconomic deprivation on a person’s ability to follow a healthy lifestyle.
