BSLM MSK Study Day
We aim to empower healthcare professionals to support patients in preventing, managing and reversing certain chronic conditions.
The NHS reports that over 30 million working days are lost in the UK each year due to MSK conditions. They account for up to 30% of GP consultations1 and cost the NHS around £5bn annually.
There are multiple risk factors that can heighten people’s susceptibility to MSK problems – these can include physical activity, being overweight/obese, diets efficient in vitamin D or calcium, smoking, older age and genetic predisposition” and, as we know, broader factors impacting on individuals’ health and wellbeing including ecological health, poverty and health inequality.
So where can lifestyle medicine play a role?
Join us for this one day MSK Study day where we’ll take a look at areas such as the benefits of physical activity and nutrition, and how to support your patients to find what works for them, including those with difficult to manage chronic pain.
We aim to empower healthcare professionals to support patients in preventing, managing and reversing certain chronic conditions, using supported behaviour change skills and techniques to create, and sustain lifestyle changes.
