There really is no medical conference quite like this in the UK, one which brings together clinicians, scientists, researchers, health professionals and patients.
Theme
Sadly, healthy life expectancy is stalling, or in retreat and children born today may have a lesser healthy life expectancy than their parents. But this outlook is not inevitable and indeed our approach through the discipline of lifestyle medicine gives us plenty room for optimism. Our theme this year will therefore take a grass roots approach by focusing on ensuring our children’s health gets off to the best start and that this continues as we live and age. Our goal is that by learning, debating, gaining confidence in and delivering lifestyle medicine, as well as enabling policy changes which reduce socioeconomic disparities, together we will drive an improvement in health and increases in life expectancy.

We want to hear about your Lifestyle Medicine success stories!
We’re inviting submissions for poster presentation abstracts which demonstrate the value of lifestyle medicine in clinical practice. We are looking for examples of original, important or relevant work in the areas of science, research, clinical application (including service improvement or audit projects) or public health. Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to present a poster live at BSLM 2024.
