Dr Lucy Loveday
- BSLM Regional Director SW England
Dr Loveday is currently working as a GP in Exeter. Having qualified as a GP in Bristol in 2013, Lucy then volunteered in Nepal for NGO PHASE Nepal, training and mentoring staff to deliver primary care in remote Himalayan communities. From there grew Lucy’s passion for, and long held interest in post-graduate medical education and lifestyle medicine. Lucy continues to use education as a vehicle to spread the message on self care and lifestyle medicine for health professionals and our patients in the Southwest. Lucy completed two years as an Educator Fellow 2014-2016, upon which she completed a pilot study using Myers Briggs to enhance self-awareness and build resilience in GP Training. This was presented at the RCGP Conference in 2015.
Lucy now works as a Training Programme Director for Torbay and was lead facilitator for the Peninsula GP Graduation Day 2017, collaborating with Clare Gerada and Andrew Tressider to deliver a day themed ‘Thriving in Modern Day General Practice and Looking After Yourself’.
