Kate has worked as a doctor in the NHS for over 23 years in a variety of medical and educational roles. She currently works as a freelance GP in Surrey.
Her other roles include working as a Clinical Champion for physical activity with Public Health England and as a clinician and Clinical Lead for the GP Health / Practitioner Health services which support doctors who are struggling with mental ill-health.
Kate is passionate about Lifestyle Medicine and Wellbeing. She runs workshops around physical, mental and emotional health both within and outside the NHS and writes regularly on wellbeing for the National Association of Sessional GPs.
In 2016, she launched a website for doctors “PhysicianBurnout.co.uk” talking about mental ill-health and burnout in clinicians, sharing stories, including her own, and tips on alternative career options.
