GPwSI Obesity and weight management
Dr Isibor is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Obesity and weight management. Currently, working across multiple GP practices in the City of Nottingham and the local Out of hours service. She completed her medical degree at the University of Leicester Medical school and doctor training in the East Midlands region of England. Dr Isibor is keen on using evidence-based medicine in supporting individuals and communities in making healthier lifestyle choices. As a testament to her dedication, in March 2020, she was awarded a Distinction after completing a postgraduate diploma in obesity and weight Management.
Dr Isibor has an invested interest in Obesity, Diabetes and other chronic diseases and is passionate about providing access to health care for Black, Asians and other global majority groups. As an advocate for change she believes in implementing culturally appropriate strategies to improve access to health care for marginalized groups. This has been reflected in her active participation in the NHS England national and local campaign for obesity and type 2 diabetes awareness targeted at African and Caribbean communities. She is also a co-founder of the Nigerian Doctors in Diaspora creating health awareness.
Dr Isibor was a Clinical Champion for Diabetes for Operose health group care across England. She is also a member of the Royal college of General practitioners, Association for the study of Obesity, Black women in health group, MANSAG and the Nigerian GP Society United Kingdom. She enjoys cooking, exercising and spending time outdoors in her spare time.
