A message from Alasdair Langlands:
On the 1st July I will be taking part in the first ever Trans Alba Race - a fully self-supported ride around Scotland incorporating over 1000 miles of road and 50,000 ft of climbing. I will be carrying all my equipment, sleeping bag, bivvy bag and food and will be completely responsible for all my navigation and logistics. I'll also be mainly wild camping. I'm aiming to finish in 6-9 days (that's up to 170 miles a day!).
It's going to be some challenge!

I will be using the event to raise money for the good work of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. The BSLM helps to promote a preventative approach to lifestyle-related diseases, through the improvement of the health and wellbeing of the individual and the wider population. I am a small cog in that machine, due to my background in personal training, nutrition and stroke and cardiac rehabilitation and am myself a member of the BSLM.
I would be incredibly appreciative of any donation, big or small.
