- General Practitioner
Emily is a salaried GP in Croydon. She completed her medical training at Southampton University and GP training in Lewisham. Following completion of her GP training in 2015 she undertook a Darzi fellowship with Croydon CCG during which she was involved in clinician training to support self-management and shared decision making.
Emily engages with lifestyle medicine through an interest in group consultations. She has been instrumental in bringing group consultations to Croydon and Lewisham. She delivers group consultations for COPD at her own clinical practice and supports others to develop their skills in this consultation style.
Emily has a keen interest in person centred care. She is a Croydon CCG Governing Body member and Clinical Lead for a programme called Together for Health and Care. In these roles she works with the Croydon alliance of providers to improve services, with a particular focus on supporting people to be active participants in their care. Her passion is promoting productive interactions between clinicians and people to support individuals to feel more confident in managing their own health.
